CIRREM...Holy fuck
I did not expect that. I did 40 miles in 3 hours or so...I think. I'll post something with more clear thinking tomorrow, but for now, that's all you get.
I think you properly expressed just about everyone's feelings on that course. Funny, I rode it last year and even with the ice cold rain the whole time, I think I felt as bad or possibly slightly worse this year.
Buckshot, this year's weather carried the delicious scent of optimism on it's gentle starting breezes. It then used that smell to lure us into a painful trap...
the weather was beautiful. especially considering last year. In retrospect, I wish it would've been bad because I wouldn't have been the only one not to finish.
I race cyclocross, though I spend more time riding single track with the cross. Next year will be my first year of road racing. I'll never outgrow 20" kids bikes so I will continue to look silly all 6'3" of me jumping around on a BMX bike.
It was every bit as brutal as I thought, and then some. Good times. :)
