Ever find something that just pumps you up?

This probably will. Though in your desire for it to be cyclocross season you may mistake people in cars yelling at you for heckling and when they throw things at you, you might mis-take them for failed hand ups.

Tuesday Night World Championships...

...That fuckin hurt. I'm thinkin it was a combination of not warming up and overestimating my fitness, but the more likely suspect is all the weight from the steel frame, aluminum wheels and cheap tires. If I was on a crabon fibre $10k beast, it would've been nothing but a thing keeping up with the main group. Anyway, once I was dropped i ended up riding with a couple of PRC women so it wasn't all bad.

Couple of first for the season today.

First time riding outside without beer(BRR) and without hurting so bad you consider murdering someone(CIRREM). I just planned a simple ride to Valley Junction to eat some tacos at Giff's but as it turns out, you can't get them on sundays. My back up plan was a grinder at Tavern Pizza. It was good, but not quite as good as the tacos would've been. The bike worked great other than the SS with 700x40 tires on a ride that was mostly asphalt. The weather was pretty good, didn't wear any heavy layers and nothing got very cold which was nice. The wind didn't even bother me. I was too distracted by the cars on 63rd unable to change lanes when passing.

Spring is here!

Looks like this weekend will be the first time I'll be riding the road bike outside since BRR. Either it's going to be a 2 hour ride and the spring classic or 3 or 4 hours on the roadie. either way it's shapin up to be a nice weekend.
